Cookie Policy

Last updated 4 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how I, Martin Avramov, use cookies and similar technologies on martinavramov.com. Please read it together with my Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in much the same way. They help a site work, remember your choices, and show how visitors use it.

Under EU law (the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR), I can use technologies that are strictly necessary for the site without asking. Everything else, such as analytics cookies, would need your consent first. This site doesn’t use any, which is why there’s no cookie banner.

How I use them

Essential. These keep the site working and secure. They don’t track you for marketing, and they are always on.

Cookieless analytics. I use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that I host myself at stats.martinavramov.com, to see which pages are useful and how people find the site. It counts page views, the referring website, approximate country, browser and device type. It sets no cookies, doesn’t store anything on your device, doesn’t store your IP address, and doesn’t follow you across sites, so it doesn’t need consent. The data stays on my server and isn’t shared with anyone.

I also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and check site performance. It sets no cookies, doesn’t use local storage, doesn’t store your IP address, and doesn’t follow you across sites, so it doesn’t need consent.

I don’t use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies.

Third-party services

Cal.com (booking calendar). The “Book a call” buttons use Cal.com’s scheduling tool, which loads a script from Cal.com. When you open the calendar or make a booking, Cal.com may set its own cookies and process technical data so scheduling works. These are covered by Cal.com’s privacy policy.

Links to other sites. Links to client websites, LinkedIn, X and Medium are plain links. Those sites set no cookies through martinavramov.com, but they may set their own once you visit them.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may not work properly.

Data transfers

Cloudflare and Cal.com may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Those transfers are protected by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. For more detail, see the Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when the site or the tools it uses change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
